Meet Our Founder
Our founder, Benjamin Fye, USN, began his career in the United States Navy, where he gained hands on engineering experience on both steam and diesel-powered ships. Upon transferring to the US Navy SeaBees Construction Battalion, he further refined his craft working with complex infrastructure and heavy machinery. Moreover, through serving in multiple combat tours during Gulf War Somalia, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Djibouti and Operation Enduring Freedom. Building and restoring infrastructure and power systems destroyed by war in extreme climates. Working alongside Military, civilian contractors, foreign nationals and Special Forces operators, he honed his skills in high-pressure environments.
After transitioning to civilian life, he worked extensively in ammonia refrigeration and controls. Fueled by a passion for precision, he decided to establish what has now become Florida Mechanical and Controls. Our approach continues to be rooted in Mr Fye’s dedication to excellence and a deep understanding of mechanical systems.
